Religion, Truth, and Conflicts

Religion, in its essence, was never meant to divide, but to guide humanity toward love, justice, and reconciliation with God. Yet history bears witness to the opposite: religion has often been used as a weapon, sanctifying hatred, war, and domination.

The Gospel warns us through the words of the Apostle Paul:

> “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” (1 Corinthians 13:1)

And Christ himself taught:

> “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

The Qur’an affirms this same principle:

> “And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear God; indeed, God is acquainted with what you do.” (Al-Ma’idah 5:8)

When religion is stripped of love, it becomes an idol. When it is driven by power rather than mercy, it breeds violence and oppression. True religion is not in rituals alone, nor in external forms, but in sincerity of heart and purity of action.

History teaches us that dogmatic fanaticism has led to wars, persecution, and bloodshed. Yet the divine call remains clear:

> “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Leviticus 19:18, echoed in Mark 12:31)

And the Qur’an concludes with a similar command:

> “Indeed, God commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, bad conduct, and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.” (Al-Nahl 16:90)

The truth is one, though expressed in many languages. Religion, when faithful to its origin, is not a battlefield of rival creeds but a garden where humanity learns humility, compassion, and the sanctity of life.

It is not evolution or history alone that defines humanity, but the moral choices we make. The future of humankind will not be decided by technology or empires, but by whether we choose love over hatred, truth over falsehood, and unity over division.

In the end, God calls not for sects and factions, but for one reconciled humanity, walking in justice and love, preparing the earth for His kingdom.
