تنحتها العزلة أكثر مما ينحتها الكلام،

وتشكّل جراحها ملامحها أكثر من انتصاراتها.

تنمو الروح صعودًا كالشجرة،

لكنها لا تنسى ظلمة التربة التي وُلدت منها.

وحدها المحبة توحّد ما تفرّقه المخاوف.

الإنسانية ليست مجموعة أمم؛

إنها نَفَسٌ واحد موزّع على أجساد كثيرة.

حين يتألم واحد، يرتجف النَفَس كلّه.

وحين ينهض واحد، ينهض الجميع معه.

أن نؤذي آخر هو أن نجرح النَفَس الإلهي في داخلنا.

We were not created to compete,

but to complete one another.
